Thanks for sharing.  It made me smile for a few reasons: I too think that it's beautiful that flowers can bloom in the desert, and also because it reminded me of a few pictures I took in Hawaii of flowers blooming in lava rock.  I love the symbolism of it all.  Hope you have a good day, new graduate!  Can't wait to hear about it.
